Shiftlock pulled up on the controls of her shuttle. It wasn't hard to pick up the presence of Decepticons. It was the lack of Autobot signals that worried her most.
She had Wheeljack's signal on the Jackhammer guiding her to the correct location to give the Autobots help...
... And then she had suddenly lost it.
"... Primus, don't you be offline Wheeljack. I've seen enough Wreckers die already," she quietly cursed, entering Earth's atmosphere. She didn't bother to disguise herself - why should she? - as she set her trajectories for what was once Jasper Nevada.
Decepticons would discover her and attempt to intercept, she was sure of it.

Terrashock was covered on leaves, vines and everything that he could find around the field, he was ready to hunt. It was his first day on Nemesis and Megatron already gave him a mission, take down any autobot who was going to Wheeljack's position to assist him. The area was on his favor, green and brown.. grass.. mud.. just like how he loved, it was about time to return to the old and loved days, just him, the field, and the enemy.
The Decepticons gave him the location of where the autobot would probably land, so for now the only thing he could do was get ready for the fight, and of course! Set tons of traps, and wait for the guest. It was one of his favorite activities, and during his time on earth, he learned lots of new "tricks", which included some simple but effective traps, from simple holes to rain of bullets from many directions, it was all about the resources and the terrain.
The Combaticon did not waste time, with a huge shovel on his servo, he would begin to open some holes around, shoving metal spikes inside them before covering them with grass and branches. On the area close to trees, he would settle some shock turrets and sniper turrets, just to make sure the autobot would not escape. Asking Terrashock to build a ambush was like asking a salesbot to show his products, he would show just the "best products" to the guest. Which happened to be a autobot..
After tossing some land mines on the field and burying them, the giant mech jumped under a hole he did and pulled some branches over him to make sure the intruder would not see him. Now he just needed to watch and wait.. patience was something required if you were going to hunt. With a grin on his faceplate, he whispered to himself. "Come out and play..."

Beep, beep, beep…
Surefire’s optic ridges furrowed in both annoyance and frustration at the sound from his proximity alarms, and he reached over, shutting off the noise with a small huff. This wasn’t the first time he’d been alerted to Cybertronian activity in his general area. It was, however, becoming an issue in his opinion. He’d gone through so much trouble to stay hidden and whoever it was had a habit of wandering very close to his current location.
What possible reason could they have for wandering out this far? There was a whole cornucopia of nothing. Well nothing other than a lot of sand and large cliffs … and your occasional wild life scurrying by your ped. Surefire blinked a couple of times, slowly moving away from the scaly thing near his ped, a look of absolute disgust plain on his faceplates. With a small gagging noise, he reached down painstakingly to flick the odd looking creature as far away from his current position as possible. With that taken care of, his expression grew smug and he turned back to the task at hand.
Beep, beep, beep, be-
“Rragh!, Hush!” he commanded the alarm, and stabbed at the button angrily to silence it once more. His optics swept thoughtfully over at the offlined Eradicon in front of him. The poor thing had fallen into one of his traps… He looked into the darkened visor of the mech and began to speak then. “They wouldn’t be looking for you I don’t think… Eradicons disappear left and right. I would know…” his voice purred out, seemingly loud in the vacant cavern, and he reached out to stroke one claw down the side of the offlined con’s faceplates. “So what are they doing in this desert, hm?”
Of course the drone wouldn’t answer, as he’d long since passed from the land of the living. The seeker simply frowned in response and stood to stroll casually to the entrance of his little cave to peek out into the bright desert. His optics scanned the landscape below from his high perch, but he saw nothing of interest. And yet… there went his proximity alarms again. Surely it wasn’t just a malfunction. He’d scanned his equipment just recently, as the crisp desert winds liked to corrode his sensors with sand. No, that certainly couldn’t be it…
Once more the seeker looked out into the vast land before him. Perhaps further investigation was in order… With that he turned once more to the downed con on the ground and finished his previous task of hanging him up with the other draining corpses. Once finished, he turned from the scene and ran for the entrance of the cave, leaping out of his safe place and off the cliff. With little effort at all, he transformed into the sleek alpha jet he’d scanned, and flew off to seek out this intruder.

Shiftlock turned on the Spitfire's cloaking systems and settled it onto a plateau overlooking a patch of scrub pine trees, cacti and hardy trees. The area was badlands, but nourished by a nearby river. She had seen the massive spire of New Kaon from orbit, and landed as close as she thought she could to Wheeljack's last location. It was going to be a long walk - or drive - to try to find him.
Turning on the ship's autodefenses and alarms, she exited the vessel, getting a good view of her surroundings from atop the rugged, red-and-gold colored rocky mesa.
"All right, Wheeljack. You're too slaggin' tough to snuff. I know you're on this planet somewhere... so I need you to give me a sign."
Shiftlock held up her tracking gauge and began scanning the area for signs of energon, or Cybertronian signatures. She herself was giving off one by the sheer virtue of her presence in the open.

Terrashock heard the noise of something landing and jumped out of his hole to crawl closer to the area he heard the noise with the intent of finding out who or what landed on those fields. His optics began to glow bloody red, and his servos formed fists when he saw the possible autobot, the only word coming out of his mouth was "autobot..", in a angered tone. Terrashock hated autobots for two reasons, first and most important, they were there to ruin Megatron's plans, and second, he NEVER did well with any of them, he just had annoying experiences with them.
The Combaticon could carry a deep hate for autobots, but at least he learned how to hold his instincts since he joined the Decepticon ranks, his mind changed a bit, he wanted to "change" and be a little more "sane", so he added on his logic list that he would not harm neutrals anymore, unless ordered to or until they dared to point a gun at him, then death would come in next..
Giving a annoyed grumble, what seemed to be his way of expression confusion, he would give another glance on the autobot, she did not really look like the usual kind autobot.. at least the helm seemed a bit different. But as he already heard so many stories about decepticons and autobots who were mercenaries, maybe she could be one of those? In a mix of confusion and thoughts, the mech took a servo to his chin to think, he had two options, bring a bullet rain or check what she was doing, but the second option would be risky as he would need to get closer.
Again, he grumbled, this time, jumping back to the hole he did. The tank Decepticon took some time to think and elaborate a way to turn the second option into a possible and safe, Megatron said something about the autobot looking for Wheeljack, so if that stupid autobot was online yet, he probably would give a signal. With that deduction, Terrashock gave something that seemed to be a grin, another idea came up. He drummed his digits over the side of his helm and hummed, it was just like on the old times, new plans coming up really fast.
Without taking more time, he pulled his anti-armor cannon and pointed it to the sky, giving two shots, he would wait for a response, the echo of the loud shots would be heard from really far away, and he was counting on that. If it really worked, he would have the terrain advantage again.

Surefire surveyed the area from his vantage point just below the clouds, and gave a small annoyed grumble. He didn't see anything yet that would have been setting off his alarms. The jet swooped down a little lower, trying to see if he could spot any bots in his area and nearly fell out of the sky in surprise as two shots rang through the air.
Quickly, the seeker glanced around, seeing one bot on the plateau just below him. She seemed harmless enough for now, but that’s not where the shots had come from. There must have been another. He debated on returning to the safety of his caves, but his curiosity got the better of him, and so he flew low for another sweep, making his presence known to the femme below him more than likely.
From what he could see she was an autobot, and he wondered for a moment if she would shoot him on sight. She seemed to be here for a purpose, perhaps looking for something, and he wasn’t so sparkless as to kill her for that. No, it was the one shooting his cannon that he was worried about… Perhaps at the very least they could help each other.

Shiftlock's head turned towards the sound of the guns, lenses of her crimson eyes irising open to scan the area carefully.
It wasn't Wheeljack.
Being a Wrecker, Shiftlock was intimately acquainted with her fellows. She had fought alongside Wheeljack and the others; she knew his style and his methods of operation. He relied on his swords first and foremost, but he did use demolition tactics --
-- but not like that. He had grenades, not mortar rounds. And neither did the jackhammer.
The scanner in her hands beeped to life, detecting energon in the form of moving objects - incoming cybertronians of some sort. One was stationary, out in the woods where the shots had been fired from, but the other was mobile and coming in closer.
"Looks like they sent out a welcome party," the femme said, tucking the scanning devices into an opening compartment at the outside of her right thigh - one could call it a 'pocket' in human terms - and then snapping it shut afterwards.
//Okay guys,// Shiftlock radioed on an frequency open to the both of them. //State your names and intentions. I'm going to take silence to mean you aren't here to give me hugs and kisses.//

Terrashock waited for a response, wondering if the femme was going to get any closer, already getting a bit tired of the uncomfortable position he was, crouching in a hole certainly was not the best place to hide for too much time.
His optics zoomed on the autobot, wondering what she was doing there and at the moment he heard her talking on the open channel, he would jump out of the hole. He moved a servo up to reach his communication device to reply, keeping both of his shoulder weapons pointed to her.
"You just got here, so don't you dhink I was dhe one supposed to make dhe questions? And I am here for hugs and kisses! Even if I don't know what dhose are.. my name is Terrashock, just identify yourself and tell me if you are neutral or not. And if dhere is any other bot listening to dhis channel, I HOPE dhey are also neutral or at least a Decepticon.. or helms are going to roll."
Terrashock was not amused about knowing there were two bots there, was the other a autobot too? Not really sure about the situation, he simply held his position and ordered the sniper turrets to aim at the femme, he was just going to wait for the answer before starting to attack her. Unless she was really a neutral.. then it would be pointless to worry about anything.
He moved his "ears" the radars located on the sides of his helm to find the other "guest" and his specific location, he needed to keep a optic on both of them now, it was one of those few moments that he was glad about having six optics.. he hummed a music quietly and crouched, he was not really wanting to get back to that hole, he knew this conversation could take a while, so he wanted to get into a comfortable position.

The seeker above listened to the two for a moment, wanting to get a bearing on their intentions, and thus there was silence on his end for several minutes. Finally, though, he responded to the open channel.
//I was going to ask the same of the both of you. Someone set off my proximity alarms, and imagine my surprise finding not one, but two bots in my territory.// he replied, though anger was not present in his voice. //I am Surefire, and you are intruding…//
Surefire banked a hard left to turn once more and slowed for a landing. He fell out of the sky just above the Autobot’s current position and hit the ground gracefully. He was sure to put plenty of space between them, more curious than anything about the one in front of him than threatening. The young seeker looked like a Decepticon for sure, but his insignia was scratched up almost to oblivion, as was most of his once shining paint. His purple optics studied the bot in front of him and then he turned his head to look out over the wooded area as if to search out the other intruder.
The jet turned back to the wrecker in front of him, and tilted his helm slightly to one side. “And who, may I ask, are you, and what are your intentions here?”
He was sure to keep his hands loosely at his sides where she could see them, not one to engage in a pointless fight.

Wonderful, thought Shiftlock. I was expecting a Decepticon clusterfrag but the kid in front of me isn't screaming 'Con.
She touched the side of her helmet and fired off a quick message to the boomer in the distance. //You might wanna know what those are before you say you want them, sweetspark. Name's Shiftlock. ID: Wrecker. I'd suggest you sit tight for a minute because we aren't alone and I'm feeling generous today.//
Shiftlock moved her hand away from her helm. "I'm looking for another Wrecker whose ship was downed not far from here. It's just search and rescue, I'm not interested in getting up anyone's tailpipe today if I can avoid it."

Terrashock moved a servo back to his comms, watching both of the bots now, not sure if the seeker was a Decepticon or Autobot, as he was not attacking the wrecker, he really could not tell that, maybe he was a neutral, but when he heard what Sure Fire had to say, he gave a strong toned laugh on the radio channel.
//"Well, excuse me dhen, I am just here because I was told to, I didn't want to get into your fields or anything. And I believe dhe femme might be dhe one dhey sent to help dhe wounded autobot right?//
When the mech heard her name and designation, he would slowly move out of the bushes, shaking the ground under his pedes on each step.
//"Shiftlock eh? Hmm.. it had been a while since dhe last time I saw a wrecker..and if I don't know what it is, it probably is not important. I don't care if you are alone or not, I am not going to wait, it is better you tell me if you are neutral or not, or we may have to proceed with dhis conversation fighting.."//
He kept walking towards both of them, stopping infront of them, he would look down, focusing his six optics on the femme, then at the seeker, giving a quiet "hmm", not thinking it was needed to say anything yet, he already did his request, so he would just wait for the answer.

The young seeker tilted his head the opposite direction, and gave an annoyed glance toward the direction of the con before looking back to Shift.
“I see. Far be it from me to stop you. However I should warn you, these caverns are full of traps. I’d watch your step… I don’t exactly fancy having other Cybertronians in my area,” he said, optics studying her as he speaks.
His optics followed her every move and reaction, but he stayed far enough away from her that he felt safe to flee if she posed any kind of threat. His wings twitched at the sound of pede-steps and he took a few steps backward himself, not willing to be caught in the middle of a possible fire-fight or brawl. The seeker’s optics widened a bit in alarm, and he glanced back at Shiftlock, unsure of which one he should focus on at this moment.
((OOC Note: I had intended to replace Surefire with Turboblast and had said this in the chat, but for all I know my net was messing up and it never got through so... In the future I will be posting with Turboblast's profile to this thread but will be playing as Surefire. I may bring him around eventually and recreate his account and app, but I had intended to take him out entirely. I apologize for the miscommunication.))
